Tigers infielder Kevin McGonigle becomes latest prospect to sign lucrative long-term extension
Detroit Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle, 21, signed an eight-year, $150 million contract, marking him as one of MLB’s rising stars. Following a strong debut where he went 4-for-5, he boasts a .311/.417/.492 batting line through 17 games. His deal includes a $14 million signing bonus, the second-largest for a pre-arbitration player, trailing only Julio Rodriguez’s bonus in 2022.
