Former Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman John Fitzgerald has died at 77, as confirmed by the team. A two-time Lombardi Trophy winner, Fitzgerald spent his entire 12-year career with the Cowboys, playing in 137 regular season games and five Super Bowls, including a start in Super Bowl XII. Renowned as a key part of coach Tom Landry’s offense, he never experienced a losing season and reached the playoffs 11 times. Fitzgerald retired in 1982 after spending his final season on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
