The Chicago Cubs have outrighted outfielder Dylan Carlson to Triple-A Iowa after designating him for assignment when Seiya Suzuki returned from injury. Carlson, who signed a minor league contract in January, struggled at the MLB level, going 0-4 with two strikeouts in one start this season. He may elect free agency or report to Iowa, where he would join other outfielders with MLB experience. The Cubs’ starting outfield now features Ian Happ, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Suzuki.
