Right-handed bullpen pitcher Jason Adam made a dramatic return to the San Diego Padres after recovering from quad tendon surgery, reinstated from the IL just before a game against the Colorado Rockies. Adam, who had a strong 2025 season with a 1.93 ERA, was called upon to secure a tie in the eighth inning, successfully getting a groundout on five pitches. Jeremiah Estrada was placed on the 15-day IL due to elbow tendinitis after struggling this season. Meanwhile, pitcher Matt Waldron continues to progress in Triple-A El Paso, throwing 12 scoreless innings and expected to join the team soon.
