This streak, which began on August 23, 2025, is currently the longest active streak in MLB and is more than halfway to the all-time record of 84 games held by Ted Williams. Ohtani, who has also excelled as a pitcher, leads the MLB in ERA among qualified pitchers, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities.
