The Atlanta Braves have selected veteran lefty Martín Pérez from Triple-A Gwinnett, optioning right-hander Didier Fuentes to make room on the active roster. Pérez, who posted a 2.84 ERA in spring training, can serve as a long reliever or potentially fill a rotation spot due to injuries among other pitchers. At 35, this marks Pérez’s eighth MLB team, following a solid 2025 season with the White Sox where he had a 3.54 ERA in 56 innings. His experience as a back-of-the-rotation starter could benefit the Braves as they manage their pitching staff this season.
