The Detroit Red Wings have signed defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker to a two-year contract extension worth $3.2 million, which will count $1.6 million against the salary cap through the 2027-28 NHL season. At 25 years old, Bernard-Docker has established himself on the Red Wings’ blue line, averaging 15 minutes of ice time over 55 games. He previously played 129 games with the Ottawa Senators and finished last season with the Buffalo Sabres. A first-round pick in the 2018 draft, the Alberta native is now on his third NHL team.
