According to Nate Taylor, there is optimism surrounding Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, who may participate in OTAs despite undergoing surgery for multiple ligaments, including his ACL, three months ago. Mahomes recently shared a video of himself throwing during workouts and aims to return for Week 1, although the typical recovery period for an ACL injury is nine to twelve months. The Chiefs have also traded for QB Justin Fields to serve as the starter while Mahomes is recovering. In 2025, Mahomes completed 62.7% of his passes for 3,587 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 14 games.
