Sens limit Rangers to fewest shots since 2003

In a historic performance, the Ottawa Senators defeated the New York Rangers 2-1, allowing just nine shots on goal, the fewest in franchise history and the Rangers’ lowest since 1955. Ottawa’s defense was particularly impressive despite losing two players to injury during the game. Goalie James Reimer acknowledged the challenge of staying focused with minimal action, yet the Senators have been strong defensively, now allowing the fewest shots in the NHL since January. Coach Travis Green praised the team’s resilience and adaptability as they prepare for upcoming critical matches.
