The New York Yankees completed their 2026 spring training with a trade, sending infielder Jorbit Vivas to the Washington Nationals for right-handed pitcher Sean Paul Liñan. Vivas, 25, was out of minor league options and would not make the Opening Day roster, having slashed .161/.266/.250 with one home run and five RBI in 29 games last season. Liñan, 21, was the Nationals’ No. 27 prospect and has experience as both a starter and reliever. The trade also creates a vacancy on the Yankees’ 40-man roster.
