The Rockies have optioned right-hander Tanner Gordon and second baseman Adael Amador to Triple-A Albuquerque as they finalize their roster for the season. Gordon, despite a strong spring, couldn’t secure a rotation spot due to last year’s performance, while Amador struggled in the majors and this spring. The team has signed Michael Lorenzen, Jose Quintana, and Tomoyuki Sugano for the rotation, with Kyle Freeland as the Opening Day starter. The fifth starter role remains undecided between Ryan Feltner and Chase Dollander, both of whom had disappointing springs.
