Venezuela clinched its first World Baseball Classic title by defeating the U.S. 3-2 in the final at loanDepot Park. Despite Bryce Harper’s game-tying homer in the eighth, Eugenio Suárez’s go-ahead RBI double in the ninth secured the victory. Venezuelan pitchers excelled, limiting the American offense to just three hits. This win marks Venezuela’s first major international baseball victory since the 1959 Pan-Am Games.
