Atle Lie McGrath claimed the fastest time in the first slalom run at Kranjska Gora, marking his return to the discipline after an emotional Olympics exit. He finished 0.17 seconds ahead of childhood friend Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, with both vying for the World Cup slalom title. Clément Noël, the 2022 Olympic champion, trails in seventh place, while Loïc Meillard, the current champion, skied out. McGrath leads Braathen by just one point in the standings.
