Paul Skenes, the 2025 National League Cy Young winner, plans to make one start for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic and possibly another if the team advances. In contrast, fellow Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal will pitch only once before returning to his spring training with the Tigers. Skenes led MLB in ERA and FIP last season, while the star-studded USA roster includes retired Dodgers legend Clayton Kershaw. Team USA will begin pool play against Brazil on March 6 in Houston.
