CC Sabathia will have his No. 52 jersey retired by the New York Yankees on September 26, 2026, before a game against the Baltimore Orioles, and he will also receive a plaque in Monument Park. This honor marks him as the 25th individual to have a number retired by the franchise and the 37th player to receive a plaque. Sabathia, a Hall of Famer elected in 2025, spent 11 of his 19 MLB seasons with the Yankees, leading them to a World Series title in 2009. He ranks among the franchise’s top 10 in strikeouts, wins, and starts.
