The Raiders have promoted Rob Leonard, their defensive line coach/run game coordinator, to defensive coordinator, ensuring continuity on Klint Kubiak’s coaching staff. Additionally, the team will retain Joe Woods as their defensive pass game coordinator; Woods previously served as the Raiders’ defensive backs coach in 2014 and most recently was the Saints’ defensive coordinator. Kubiak and Woods have prior experience working together, as Kubiak was the offensive coordinator in New Orleans in 2024. Woods has an extensive coaching background, having also been a defensive coordinator for the Browns, Broncos, and has worked with the 49ers, Vikings, and Buccaneers.
