The Washington Nationals, after trading ace Mackenzie Gore to the Texas Rangers, have signed veteran right-hander Miles Mikolas to a one-year deal to bolster their starting rotation. Mikolas, 37, previously pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals for seven seasons, earning two All-Star nominations and consistently making over 30 starts in six of those years. In the 2023 season, he recorded an 8-11 record with a 4.84 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 156.1 innings. This addition provides the Nationals with five full starters for the upcoming season.
