Longtime MLB catcher Jacob Stallings has transitioned to a role in the Pirates’ baseball operations, where he will consult with the front office and aid in developing young catchers. After battling back pain in his final season, Stallings realized the importance of impactful coaching, inspired by Skip Schumaker. Over his 10-year career, he played for the Pirates, Marlins, Rockies, and Orioles, earning a Gold Glove in 2021.
