Two of the Yankees’ top pitching prospects, Carlos Lagrange and Ben Hess, received non-roster invitations to major league spring training, marking their first appearances at this level. Lagrange, 22, impressively reached speeds of 103 MPH last season while playing for Double-A Somerset and is considered a potential impact player for the Yankees this year. Hess, 23, was a first-round draft pick in 2024 and also advanced to Double-A last year. Additionally, George Lombard Jr., recognized as the organization’s best overall prospect, received his second invitation, showcasing his elite defensive skills at shortstop.
