Boston Red Sox pitcher Jordan Hicks is being traded to the White Sox, reducing the return for slugger Rafael Devers. Alongside Hicks, righty David Sandlin is also headed to Chicago, while the Red Sox receive former Yankees prospect Gage Ziehl. The White Sox will provide Boston with $8 million over the next two seasons to help cover Hicks’ salary. Hicks, who has struggled since being acquired from the Giants, had a dismal season with a 8.20 ERA in 21 outings after shifting back to the bullpen.
