Goaltender Igor Shesterkin and defenseman Adam Fox of the New York Rangers are progressing in their recoveries, having skated several times individually, but their return to full practice is not imminent, according to head coach Mike Sullivan. Shesterkin, on injured reserve since January 5, is eligible to return, while Fox cannot be activated until January 31. Their absence has impacted the team, with backup Jonathan Quick struggling in goal and defensive adjustments made in Fox’s absence. Forward Sam Carrick has recently contributed offensively, scoring goals to support the team.
