The Yankees have signed right-hander Dylan Coleman to a minor league deal, though it’s unclear if it includes an invitation to Major League spring camp. Coleman previously pitched for the Royals, posting a 2.78 ERA in 2022, but struggled in 2023 with an 8.84 ERA and high walk rate. After a brief stint with the Astros, he was released and has since been working on his mechanics, adding a cutter and power sinker while increasing his fastball velocity to 100mph. The Yankees aim to evaluate his revamped skills and address his control issues.
