The Ottawa Senators have recalled goaltender Mads Søgaard from AHL Belleville and placed winger David Perron on injured reserve after his surgery for a sports hernia, expecting him to miss five to seven weeks. This marks Søgaard’s third recall this season, despite struggling with a .889 SV% in Belleville and a difficult NHL record. The Senators aim to carry three goalies amid expected winter storms during back-to-back home games. Søgaard will also represent Denmark in next month’s Olympics, marking his second appearance on the national team.
