San Francisco 49ers legend John Brodie has passed away at 90. A quarterback who played 17 seasons with the 49ers, Brodie was the 1970 NFL MVP, leading the league with 2,941 yards and 24 touchdowns. He is second in franchise history for passing yards and third in touchdown passes, with his number 12 jersey retired in 1973. Brodie was inducted into the 49ers Hall of Fame in 2009 and also competed in two US Open golf championships.
