The integrity of ski jumping has been challenged by a cheating scandal involving Norway’s team, where officials manipulated athletes’ suits to gain an unfair advantage. In response, the International Ski Federation (FIS) has implemented stricter regulations, including pre-event screenings and tamper-proof microchips in uniforms. The scandal led to significant sanctions for team members and the dismissal of the coaching staff. Under new head coach Rune Velta, Norway aims to rebuild its reputation in the sport ahead of the Milan Cortina Winter Games.
