Marcus Foligno scored his first NHL hat trick, leading the Minnesota Wild to a 6-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs, with Vladimir Tarasenko also netting two goals. Foligno contributed significantly, scoring at even strength, on a power play, and into an empty net, while Ryan Hartman added a goal and an assist. Despite Auston Matthews’ 25th goal of the season for Toronto, the Maple Leafs’ seven-game home winning streak ended. The Wild have now won two straight games as they prepare to face Montreal next.
