The New York Mets have signed infielder Bo Bichette to a three-year, $126 million contract, which includes full no-trade protection and opt-outs after the 2026 and 2027 seasons, pending a physical. Bichette, primarily a shortstop, will transition to third base for the Mets. This deal follows the Mets’ unsuccessful pursuit of Kyle Tucker, who chose the Dodgers instead. Bichette previously played for the Toronto Blue Jays after being drafted in 2016.
