When Trae Young was traded to the Wizards, concerns arose about his playing time, given Washington’s desire to maintain a poor record for draft positioning. Young will be out with injuries until after the All-Star break, raising questions about the Wizards’ adherence to the league’s player participation policy. Despite his injuries, there are rumors the team may offer him a two-year contract extension. The timing of Young’s return remains uncertain as the Wizards aim to protect their draft pick.
