The Detroit Tigers are signing left-hander Bryan Sammons to a minor league contract, as reported by Jon Morosi of The MLB Network. Sammons, a 6’4″ southpaw, previously spent the 2023-24 seasons with the Tigers and made six MLB appearances in July 2024, recording a 3.62 ERA. After a stint with Japan’s Chiba Lotte Marines, where he had a 3.78 ERA, Sammons is expected to join Triple-A Toledo, bringing a five-pitch mix and experience from his time in the independent leagues.
