Tyler Soderstrom, left fielder for the Athletics, has signed an $86 million, seven-year contract, with a club option for an eighth year, pending a successful physical. The deal could reach $131 million with bonuses and secures Soderstrom’s position after a strong first full MLB season, where he had a .276 batting average, 25 home runs, and 93 RBIs. Drafted 26th overall in 2020, the 24-year-old is set to remain close to his hometown of Turlock, California. This contract comes as the A’s prepare for a move to Las Vegas in 2028, following recent agreements with other players.
