Appeals officer Jordy Nelson upheld a two-game suspension for Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman due to repeated violations of player-safety rules, causing him to miss games against the Texans and Broncos. The NFL suspended him after he was flagged for unnecessary roughness for a forcible helmet-to-helmet hit on Cowboys receiver Ryan Flournoy. This marks Perryman’s second two-game suspension in 2023 for similar infractions. He will be eligible to return to the active roster on January 5.
