The Seattle Kraken traded forward Mason Marchment to the Columbus Blue Jackets for two draft picks: a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick. Marchment, who had 13 points in 29 games with Seattle this season, is in the final year of a four-year, $18 million contract. Blue Jackets GM Don Waddell expressed confidence in Marchment’s ability to enhance the team. The trade occurred just before the NHL’s holiday roster freeze.
