Philip Rivers has been signed to the Indianapolis Colts’ 53-man roster after coming out of retirement, allowing him to start as quarterback against the Seahawks, marking his first NFL game since 2020. His return restarts his Hall of Fame eligibility clock, extending the wait for potential election by five years. The Colts also elevated Riley Leonard and Brett Rypien to join Rivers on the active roster for depth, while placing right tackle Braden Smith on injured reserve. Additionally, wide receiver Coleman Owen and defensive tackle Chris Wormley were promoted from the practice squad.
