The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles have signed 37-year-old Kenta Maeda to a two-year contract, marking his return to Japan after a nine-season MLB career with a 4.20 ERA. Maeda, who previously excelled with the Hiroshima Carp, joins former big leaguers Luke Voit and Roansy Contreras on the Eagles roster for the 2026 season.
