The Saitama Seibu Lions have accepted Tatsuya Imai’s request to be posted to Major League teams, allowing him 45 days to negotiate a contract or return for the 2026 season. A three-time NPB All-Star with a 3.15 ERA over 963 innings, Imai, 27, is projected to attract significant interest and could sign a deal worth $150MM, with a posting fee of approximately $24.375MM for the Lions based on that contract.
