INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Ajay Mitchell, a young NBA player from Belgium, initially juggled dreams of basketball and soccer before committing to basketball at age 14. After a successful college career at UC Santa Barbara, Mitchell was drafted by the Knicks and traded to the Thunder, where he has become a key player, averaging 16.1 points per game and adapting well to the NBA’s demands.
