Matthew Caldwell is resigning as president of business operations for the Florida Panthers to become CEO of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, starting Sept. 2. Caldwell, who previously played a key role in the Panthers’ turnaround, expressed excitement for the NBA’s global platform and the vision of new Timberwolves owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez.
