Former Miami Heat security officer pleads guilty to selling stolen memorabilia

MIAMI (AP) — Marcos Thomas Perez, a former Miami Heat security officer, pleaded guilty to stealing and selling over 400 game-worn jerseys and memorabilia valued at about $1.9 million, taking advantage of his access to a secured equipment room. Notably, he sold a LeBron James jersey worn during the NBA Finals for around $100,000, which later fetched $3.7 million at auction.
