The New York Yankees have signed right-hander Kenta Maeda to a minor league deal, assigning him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after he was released by Triple-A Iowa. The 37-year-old Maeda, who has a 4.20 ERA in 226 major league games, previously struggled with a 7.88 ERA in the majors this season but showed improvement in his last two outings with Iowa.
