MLB Speedway Classic sees ‘Talladega Nights’ equipment, a home run car and more originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia
The MLB Speedway Classic, featuring the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves at Bristol Motor Speedway, faced a rain delay but ultimately attracted over 85,000 fans, setting an MLB attendance record. Unique elements included NASCAR-themed uniforms, “Talladega Nights” inspired gear, and a debut of a home run car, which showcased its first appearance following a three-run homer by Braves’ Eli White.
