On Thursday, the Texas Rangers traded right-hander Dane Dunning to the Atlanta Braves for right-hander José Ruiz and cash considerations. Ruiz, who has struggled this season with an 8.82 ERA in 18 appearances, will report to Triple-A Round Rock, while Dunning, with a 3.38 ERA in five games for Texas this season, had previously been a key player since joining in 2020.
