Lee Elia, the former MLB player and manager, passed away at 87, as confirmed by several teams. A Philadelphia native, he played briefly for the Cubs and White Sox before coaching, winning a World Series with the Phillies in 1980 and managing the Cubs and Phillies, while also working in scouting and coaching with various teams until the 2010s.
