Arizona signed catcher James McCann to a major league contract after his release from the Atlanta Braves, designating Aramis Garcia for assignment. McCann, who has played 11 MLB seasons and was an All-Star in 2019, agreed to a one-year deal and batted .297 with six homers and 30 RBIs in 41 games at Triple-A Gwinnett before joining the Diamondbacks.
