Safety DeShon Elliott, who previously opposed the idea of the Steelers signing quarterback Aaron Rodgers, has signed a two-year, $12.5 million extension with $9.21 million guaranteed. Originally drafted by the Ravens in 2018, Elliott has played for multiple teams before joining the Steelers on a two-year deal in 2024, where he started 14 of 15 games last season. His earlier skepticism about Rodgers shifted after he trained with him in California, leading to a newfound respect for the veteran quarterback’s impressive skills at 41.
