The Milwaukee Brewers traded right-hander Aaron Civale and $807,000 to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for first baseman Andrew Vaughn. Civale, who expressed a desire to remain a starter, was removed from the Brewers’ rotation due to a surplus of pitchers after prospect Jacob Misiorowski’s debut. Vaughn, who struggled this season with a .189 average, will report to the Brewers’ Triple-A Nashville affiliate, while Civale, who has a career 4.06 ERA, is eligible for free agency at season’s end.
