Marcelo Mayer showcased his talent in a Boston Red Sox game against the Tampa Bay Rays, hitting two home runs at Fenway Park. The 22-year-old, Boston’s No. 2 prospect, achieved this feat off Rays starter Zack Littell, marking the first two homers of his career at Fenway, with distances of 418 and 410 feet. Mayer’s performance makes him the youngest Red Sox player with a multi-homer game since Rafael Devers in 2018, contributing to the team’s youth movement alongside fellow prospects Kristian Campbell and Roman Anthony.
