Former Packers kicker Eddie Garcia passed away on June 5 at his home in Poygan, Wisconsin, at the age of 65. Drafted by the Packers in the 10th round in 1982, Garcia played three seasons in the NFL, taking over as kicker in 1984 after Hall of Famer Jan Stenerud, but struggled with injuries and was waived before the 1985 season. A retired senior director at Oshkosh Defense, he joined the Packers’ board of directors in 2021, contributing to various committees, including sales and marketing and the Green Bay Packers Foundation.
