A’s Reinstate Kurtz and Activate Wynns Ahead of Angels Series
The Oakland Athletics reinstated first baseman Nick Kurtz from the 10-day injured list, where he had been since May 27 due to a strained left hip flexor, and he is now in the starting lineup for the upcoming series against the Los Angeles Angels. Additionally, catcher Austin Wynns was activated after being acquired from the Cincinnati Reds, while infielder Logan Davidson and catcher Jhonny Pereda were optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas. Kurtz has had a solid rookie season, and Wynns brings veteran experience to help fill in for the injured Shea Langeliers.
