Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo announced that right-hander Corbin Burnes will undergo Tommy John surgery next week, following his placement on the injured list due to elbow inflammation. Burnes, who signed a six-year, $210 million contract with Arizona in the offseason, had a 2.66 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 11 starts before the injury and is expected to be sidelined until late in the 2026 season at the earliest. The 30-year-old, a four-time All-Star and 2021 National League Cy Young Award winner, has a career 3.15 ERA over eight seasons.
