The D-backs have signed right-hander Sean Reid-Foley to a minor league contract following his release from the Mets. Reid-Foley, who has battled injuries including Tommy John surgery in 2022, has shown potential with a 2.15 ERA and 33.1% strikeout rate over 29 1/3 innings in the majors from 2023-24, but struggles with command, as evidenced by a 16% walk rate. Now 29, he will report to Triple-A Reno, where he has faced challenges this season, including a drop in fastball velocity and an 8.36 ERA in Syracuse.
